Dragon Canoe and BBQ Event
The Dragon Canoe Contest is run by the Yasu City Sports Association. Our association enters a team comprised of many different nationalities. For lunch we all enjoy a BBQ together.
International Exchange Halloween Party
ハロウィンパーティ
Our Halloween themed party is aimed at international exchange, and brings together people of all nationalities, citizens of Yasu and our members. It is a hugely popular event joined by all ages.
Sister City Exchange Programme
姉妹都市交流
We manage relations between Yasu and overseas. Primarily this work relates to our sister city exchange with Clinton Township (Michigan, America).
This is a programme which facilitates the experiencing of different cultures and lifestyles through homestay exchanges. We receive visiting delegations from America and send our visiting delegations on alternate years. If you visit Yasu Library you can see a bronze statue gifted to us from our friends in Clinton Township. This statue commemorates the 10th anniversary of our exchange programme.
